2010
Once
again consistency, speed, teamwork, H 10 O Vitamin Water backing and
good racing luck proved to be the championship formula for Sanchez
Motorsports. In 2010 the team
made many changes to their Dodge Daytona which added down force
making our car more consistent in the corners but easier to overtake
on long straights. As they say everything is a compromise in racing.
In spite of this, 2010 marked Frank’s Thirteenth championship. He has done it in front and rear
engine cars as well as open and closed wheel cars at an age when many
racers move to Florida, pick up canasta and jiggle their
cocktails! If you know Frank,
he still has the will and the desire to race and you can still see
the intensity. If you doubt
it, ask his on track competitors. He is looking forward to another
productive racing year, his 39th year of competition.
2009
Racing
is complicated. It’s very
tough to deliver consistency no matter the level, no matter the car,
no matter the series. We have
been very fortunate. For the
last few years our team has delivered consistent, action filled
results. We all know it’s hard
to keep that up given all the modern day race variables. All odds are against a consistent
winning performance but…the H 10 O Team has done it again and
delivered several wins. Some
came from the pole, some from dead last. The team delivered and maintained
its winning reputation. This
year’s performance earned us the North Atlantic Road Racing
Championship and the New Jersey Road Racing Series Championship! All in all, we are up to 12
championships since the team’s inception.
So
what’s in for 2010? New tow
rig, new car and the same hard working team. Like I always say, as long as the
people side remains unchanged the results will be the same. No matter the level…
2008
The
2008 season proved to be a fitting dream sequel to 2007. The team’s lap record and
championship winning Maserati powered Dodge Daytona never broke
stride. Every time the Dodge
competed it delivered a win, a track record or the fastest race
lap. This exceptional
performance led to setting new records at both tracks of the newly
inaugurated state-of-the-art New Jersey Motorsports Park in
Millville, New Jersey bringing its total record breaking ability to
four separate road racing tracks.
In addition, Sanchez Motorsports achieved a significant
benchmark by adding a Tenth Championship (the New Jersey Road Racing
Series Championship) to its resume.
The
legacy continues…
2007
If
it’s true that points don’t always tell the true tale of a racer’s
season 2007 would be it. Frank
brought out his 2004/2005 championship winning GT1 Camaro for the
first MARRS race and was dominant.
He qualified first, had the fastest race lap and finished
first. He then accepted the
challenge of resurrecting a long forgotten Maserati powered non-turbo
Dodge Daytona. This was no
ordinary Dodge Daytona. It was
the 1991 IMSA GTU Championship winning racer that had not turned a
wheel since it was put on display at the Delmar museum in Delmar,
California. After thoroughly
rebuilding the car he set two track records at three events and won
all three races. The little
Dodge that could delivered and Frank is looking forward to a great
2008 with renewed interest, new sponsorship, and continued success.
2006
The
hint of a smile comes across Frank’s face when he talks about his
2006 season, having finished second in points after having raced less
than the full schedule.
However the smile quickly disappears as he remembers that from
a personal perspective 2006 was a difficult year. This was the year that Frank lost
his mother and his father-in-law.
He knew Gene, an avid supporter and crew member, would have
been proud. His worst finish
all year was second after starting 36. In retrospect 2006 was a year to
remember for many reasons.
2005
Our
2005 season generated outstanding results. During the 10 race
series, the team finished in the top three positions in every event
entered with only one exception. This consistent performance
led us to the Mid-Atlantic Road Racing Championship for the second
year in a row.
We have a very
ambitious plan for the upcoming season and are looking forward to
continued success.
